Hello, I am Dr. Kerr!

A board certified naturopathic doctor practicing in the gorgeous city of Vancouver. BC, Canada. Our little rainforest encompassed city by the ocean.

I currently study under the brilliant Dr. Carley Akehurst in treating chronic or recurrent urinary tract infections, interstitial cystitis and other urologic concerns.

I also enjoy a general family practice seeing all kinds of folks and a wide array of concerns.

I'm originally from Nova Scotia so you may notice a slight accent or some funny sayings during your appointment!

I chose this profession because the principles resonated with the kind of medicine I like to practice, finding a root cause, working on prevention when possible, providing education and integrating the healing power of nature. Of course I still provide patients with symptom relief and use the conventional standards of practice, but enjoy the ability to integrate both traditional wisdom with the rigors of modern science.

What does it look like?

I strive to give patients compassionate care and explain the physiology behind their concerns so they can have a greater understanding of their own health and feel like an active participant in their care. I then explain what treatment options exist - laying out all the facts so you can make informed choices.

My appointment times range from a quick 15 minute visit up to a 1 hour visit where we can delve into your full health history, from stem to stern as I like to say!

I may recommend lab work in the initial visit or do a physical exam depending on the concerns. After that, I review the entire case and come up with a treatment plan for you.

This is where the magic really happens! Having a comprehensive treatment plan in place can help us feel more in control of our health, and sometimes these plans may need to be tweaked, that's where I come back in to consistently follow up with you so we can achieve the best outcomes possible.
